    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Contract Administrative Manager.

    The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F) Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of the NYU Langone Health and provide the foundation for its growth and success in the 21st century. RED+F provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures on the NYU Langone Health campus. The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the medical center. RED+F is composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance & Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering divisions.
    Overall Role and Primary Responsibilities
    The Contract Administration Manager will oversee the development and management of contracts to support RED+F functions. This includes working with users to develop solicitations, reviewing contract awards for compliance, assisting with project documentation, and conducting vendor management initiatives.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Working with users, develop solicitations including statements of work and price proposal forms, using standard solicitation and contract forms as available, customizing where appropriate and developing new forms as necessary.
    • Review recommended contract awards for compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
    • Assist staff with project documentation and contract award approval process.
    • Provide support on solicitations initiated/managed by staff.
    • Conduct solicitations for services to support RED+F functions.
    • Analyze technical and cost proposals for new awards and change orders to spot potential problems such as misunderstanding of scope; use analysis to work with users to revise specifications as needed and/or to negotiate price proposals for new awards and/or change orders; negotiate new awards and change orders and prepare supporting documentation. Complexity of assigned contracts and change orders will vary depending on experience.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BA or BS
    • 3 years experience in procurement and contract administration associated with delivery of capital projects or facilities operations or a related area of expertise with the capacity to learn new fields

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5 years experience in procurement and contract administration associated with delivery of capital projects or facilities operations or a related area of expertise with the capacity to learn new fields
    • Experience managing and/or providing procurement services associated with delivery of capital projects or comparable experience.
    • Knowledge of contracting strategies or ability to learn. Ability to work well with stakeholders in the procurement process, including users, senior leadership, financial administration staff, vendors, and others, to develop a shared understanding of needs, the marketplace, and strategies for meeting needs. This entails the ability to work successfully in situations with high degrees of ambiguity and with people from diverse professional backgrounds and levels who have different interests.
    • Effective negotiation skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively when speaking and in writing. Intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering a superior work product.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $105,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
