    Job Description

    REMOTE POSITION

    This position will performs a broad range of substantive duties including preparing drafts of legal and other documents and correspondence for review; compile, analyze and summarize information; coordinate efforts between counsel, internal team members, outside legal counsel, and other parties as necessary; provide paralegal support for the development, negotiation and administration of commercial contracts and related documents . This position will also be responsible for reporting dashboard metrics and adhering to service levels for turnaround times on reviews as well as holding others accountable for their reviews and responses. Assists in the development, design and implementation of continuous improvement projects and offers ideas and suggestions to management on improving customer interaction, and streamlining processes

    Primary Responsibilities include:

    • Prepare or revise contracts, reports, correspondence, and other commercial legal documents for Manager or legal approval
    • Ensure that all corporate contracting rules and provisions are adhered to
    • Provide a variety of general business unit reports and analysis regarding contracting and special clauses or provisions to various departments, including but not limited to corporate legal, tax, finance, and HR functions
    • Provide assistance, as required, in various transactions and special projects
    • Assist business personnel with the negotiation of contract language with customers, including reviewing and analyzing agreements, recommending language and assisting in the presentation to the customer
    • Support development/expansion of contract lifecycle management system to track contracts and follow-up on contracts as needed;
    • Assist in contract training for appropriate business personnel
    • Perform legal research as assigned. Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles and legal codes. Investigate facts and law of case to determine legal arguments as needed for contract clauses and enforceability
    • Maintain assigned daily workflow and operations of commercial contracting. This includes contract maintenance, redline/change reviews, contract entry/routing/changes, overseeing the accuracy of contract object entry, and remediate any contracts / contract objects with errors found
    • As a core part of the role, perform certain administrative functions, such as:
      • maintaining document management system (includes collecting and organizing client materials/documents)
      • obtaining signatures
      • proofreading and editing
      • word processing
      • report generation and dashboard maintenance
    • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

    Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year of corporate paralegal experience.
    • Paralegal or NCMA certification preferred
    • Legal research techniques
    • Demonstrated knowledge of administration practices and concepts
    • Automation applications and computer databases
    • Written business communication and report writing techniques
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions
    • Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Must be able to multi-task, be flexible, and be able to prioritize and complete projects effectively and efficiently
    • Experience with SalesForce preferred
