Bluewater Learning is seeking a contract instructional designer to assist the content team with designing, developing, and delivering custom learning experience solutions. As a contract instructional designer, you will be responsible for designing creative solutions to client training needs, interfacing with client subject matter experts, and developing content storyboards that the team will use to design graphics and program the course.
Requirements:
- Creative thinker with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, ensuring content is easily understandable by the target audience.
- Strong storytelling skills to create narratives that enhance the learning experience.
- Strong command of the English language with impeccable grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Ability to adapt writing style (creative and technical) to suit different learning function needs and delivery formats (e.g., eLearning modules, scripts for videos, interactive scenarios).
- Understanding of adult learning theory as applied to professional organizations.
- Willingness to learn and leverage rapid design and development skills, techniques, and tools as appropriate.
- Ability to conduct needs analysis and consultation with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multimedia artists and developers to create cohesive and effective learning experiences.
- Familiarity with industry standard eLearning authoring tools and content management systems
Assessment Component :
- A portfolio showcasing writing samples, instructional content, or any relevant projects that highlight your writing skills.
- Interview with our content team
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, English, Communication, or a related field with a strong emphasis on writing preferred.
Experience:
- Working as an Instructional Designer: 1-2 years preferred.
- Corporate learning background preferred.
- Working with multi-national, multi-language content is a plus.
