We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Systems Contract Representative to perform comprehensive cradle-to-grave contract management for a designated portfolio. This portfolio encompasses a variety of complex contracts across one or more Business Areas. The individual in this role will manage critical external customer relationships and play a pivotal role in driving contract outcomes.
This position requires expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and involves significant focus on capture strategies, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Reporting to a Business Area Contracts Leader, the successful candidate will maintain an active portfolio of execution contracts while contributing to the strategic goals of the organization. Experience with a defense contractor is a must!

Compensation: $120K-$140K
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of cradle-to-grave contract administration for long-term contracts, including BOA, IDIQ, OTA contract vehicles, and R&D, EMD, or Production contracts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications, ensuring seamless interaction and issue resolution.
Lead contracting actions throughout the business-winning process, including proposal preparation, submission, and negotiation.
Develop and implement negotiation strategies in collaboration with capture and proposal teams, ensuring optimal outcomes for the corporation.
Ensure compliance with the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act, including disclosures, sweeps, and certifications.
Conduct thorough reviews of terms and conditions to establish a contract baseline at the proposal phase, and ensure a smooth contract setup post-award.
Champion effective change management practices by issuing timely notifications, securing approvals, and negotiating compliant change proposals.
Interpret contract requirements throughout the lifecycle, assist with dispute resolution, and manage contract closeout activities.
Maintain the official contract record and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. An advanced degree is preferred and may substitute for two years of experience.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFCM, CPCM) are highly desirable.
Comprehensive knowledge of FAR/DFARS and a strong understanding of the contract lifecycle, including contract types, vehicles, and varying scopes (e.g., R&D, production, OTAs, and commercial contracts).
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working independently under guidance from leadership.
Strong mentoring skills to guide junior colleagues and provide training to program and functional teams.
Proficiency in managing Intellectual Property (IP) considerations within a corporate strategy.
Expertise in managing contract baselines, documenting changes, and understanding authority delegation within contracts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate various corporate systems.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
A current in-scope Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is strongly preferred.
