Job Description

Summary: Preplans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties. Reviews technical data package to ensure compliance to customer contract and specifications. Reviews manufacturing process, bill of materials.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Reviews technical data packages supplied by customer to ensure compliance to customer contract and other documents and specifications.
• Develops, evaluates, and pre-plans manufacturing methods. Creates manufacturing shop order BOM in accordance with established procedures.
• Engages internal departments as needed to establish fixturing, perishable tooling and processing requirements to ensure quality product produced in an efficient and safe manner.
• Confers with management/programing, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Engages customers as needed concerning product design and non-conventional production methods.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Confers with purchasing to purchase needed items to build sales order line items.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and 2 years relevant work experience is required. Manufacturing background preferred.

Additional Information

This position will require about 10% travel ability to service our other plant in the area.
