Precise Systems is seeking a highly self-motivated, successful Contracts-Proposal Pricing Specialist in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
Prefer local candidates who can work 3 days per week from our Lexington Park, Maryland Headquarters. Remote delivery will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Duties:
- Thoroughly understand customer requirements through RFPs and participation in business development and proposal activities.
- Support the development of realistic cost proposal schedules that meet RFP and company requirements and deadlines.
- Generate detailed pricing using a pricing model, proposal structure, and pricing strategy with MS Excel.
- Participate in pricing reviews to effectively incorporate pricing structure and strategy.
- Coordinate with Precise Systems Procurement personnel to facilitate subcontractor proposal pricing activities and ensure subcontractor compliance with RFP requirements.
- Prepare cost volume documents:
- In accordance with RFP requirements, FAR/DFAR requirements and in a timely manner.
- Work with cross-functional teams for planning, organization, writing, editing, and production of cohesive price/cost volumes with appropriate disclosures, explanatory responses and supporting data to justify adequacy, realism reasonableness, and audit validation.
- Thorough reviews of fellow team member's narratives and pricing documentation.
- Work with Proposal team to integrate pricing and program strategy into a winning proposal.
- Complete Pre-Award agreements and contract actions
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.
Required Experience:
- Minimum (4) years of experience in federal government/industry proposals, acquisition, finance, or contracts functions
- Experience with a variety of contract types (e.g. CPFF, T&M, and FFP). Navy specific and CPFF experience are a plus
- Advanced proficiency using various software, applications, and programs including Microsoft Office Suite
- Positive, customer-service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend issues/needs, inspire teamwork, and recommend solutions
- Ability to multi-task, working on several projects simultaneously
- Track record of building effective working relationships and communicating successfully with senior level internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, follow-through on projects from conception to completion, and complete work accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle unscheduled extended work hours and non-standard workweeks
- Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, eagerness to learn, attention-to-detail, and excellent organizational skills
- Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business.
