The Control Design Engineer will be responsible for the electrical control projects from design to commissioning. This will be primarily in the municipal water and wastewater industry.
Job functions:
- Design electrical schematics for control panels, motor control centers, power distribution panels, and assorted wiring diagrams.
- Create a Bill of Materials for each project.
- Develop Control Narratives for the intended function of the project.
- Read and follow project plans and specifications.
- Support the control panel shop during the manufacturing process with design-related questions.
- Manage all project documentation per company standards and project-specific requirements.
- Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases of the projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Associates degree in Automation related field.
- 5 years of experience in a project engineer role (or similar) including design, implementation, and project closeout.
- Experience with electrical CAD Software.
- Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, and clients.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience with project management, covering initial concept/proposal, design, implementation, and closeout.
