    Job Description

    A Fortune 500 financial services client is seeking a Control Management Consultant to support and enhance the operational risk and compliance management program for their consumer banking products, including Consumer Checking, Savings, CDs, and IRAs.

    _ Details:_

    • Contract position through February 2025, potential to extend
    • Hybrid 3 days in Lower Manhattan
    • Full time, 40 hours a week

    _ Responsibilities:_

    • Provide additional identification of risks throughout business processes and systems (along with business process owners)
    • Facilitate Business Units in their risk assessments performance (e.g., Process Self Risk Assessments (PRSAs)) in addition to further assessments and testing / QA programs to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met (e.g., periodic PRSA reviews and update assessment criteria to align with regulatory updates)
    • Manage control monitoring (supplemental to BU process owners testing) and compile key operational risk trends, activities, and events to senior management, to facilitate informed decision-making Manage categorization of controls and map against risks and processes (e.g., cross-BU process-control mapping)
    • Advise BU with identification of risks and spotting areas where product changes or improved controls may be required within New Product Governance (NPG)
    • Support risk management practices within the business
    • Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Desired Qualifications:

    • 5+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function)
    • Prior financial services/GSIP experience required, along with experience supporting consumer banking products
    • Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
    • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
    • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
    • Bachelor's degree

    This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

    The pay range for this role is $50-90 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
