    The Opportunity:

    Controller; full-time, in-person position in State College, PA. Optional hybrid schedule (up to 20%).

    We seek a self-motivated, friendly professional with the ability to direct the daily activities of our Accounting Department.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Direct the daily operations of accounting department.
    • Assures accuracy of daily settlements and general ledger posting.
    • Ensures accuracy, completeness and consistency of share drafts, credit/debit/ATM card transactions, bill payer, and ACH files.
    • Process exceptions and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
    • Direct the monthly closing process and prepare financials, statistical and accounting reports for management
    • Administer escheat process for unclaimed funds
    • Assist in the formulation/execution of CU policies, objectives and programs
    • Work with auditors/ examiners on annual and comprehensive audits
    • Assure accuracy of GL accounts and subsidiary journals
    • Assist with preparation and evaluation of annual budgets and forecasts
    • Ensure proper settlement and reporting of mortgage sales, business loans and loan participations
    • Prepare regulatory and other external reports
    • Direct, motivate and evaluate employee performance within the department
    • Monitor department activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations and generally accepted accounting principles

    What You’ll Bring:

    • 3 - 7 years of similar or related experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Trustworthy and works with High Integrity
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills for the purpose of motivating/ influencing others, first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation
    • Advanced knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft software and other accounting-related programs with an emphasis on spreadsheets
