    We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our growing team at Coastline Equity. As we expand, the Controller will play a critical role in managing our financial operations for our firm, subsidiaries, real estate investment clients and leading the finance department. This position requires a versatile leader with a strong background in accounting, finance, and human resources, capable of overseeing both strategic and day-to-day financial management while ensuring operational flexibility and growth.

    Responsibilities

    Oversee the finance department, ensuring accountability, performance, and development of team members.

    Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

    Supervise payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations.

    Oversee insurance processes and ensure the company complies with all relevant regulations.

    Maintain strong communication with external CPAs for tax filings and financial reporting.

    Establish and refine financial procedures, compliance processes, human resource processes, and internal controls.

    Managing the financial complexity of over 150+ separate corporate entities.

    Skills & Competencies

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and execute financial strategies.

    Expertise in navigating complex financial structures and providing insightful reporting and analysis.

    Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining internal controls and compliance.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong financial acumen with expertise in modeling, data-driven decision-making, and business analytics to drive efficiency and growth.

    Tech-savvy professional with proficiency in digital tools, software, and technology-driven workflows.

    Requirements

    Experience: 5-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in property management.

    Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.

    Property Management Experience: Familiarity with property management or real estate accounting practices is essential.

    Experience with AppFolio is a plus.

    The salary range of this position is $95k - $125k yearly.
