Job Summary:
The Controller will lead all accounting operational functions, ensuring proper financial controls, and work closely with the Finance team and Executive Leadership to tackle complex challenges and execute strategic plans. This role will focus on timely month-end close processes, financial modeling for growth, tax and regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration while managing a multi-location team.
As a critical member of the team, the Controller must excel in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and process improvement while driving team performance and contributing as a strong individual contributor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple locations.
- Maintain accounting records, including the chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, payroll journal entries, and consolidated financial statements.
- Daily Operations:
- Ensure completion and accuracy of daily accounting functions such as billing, AR/AP, and cash reporting.
- Monitor and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures related to budgeting, cash/credit management, and compliance.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of 3+ finance professionals across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with Reporting and Systems teams to drive efficiency and maintain team cohesion.
- Process & Compliance:
- Manage tax filings, regulatory compliance, and business/legal documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Strategic Analysis:
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making.
- Monitor key financial ratios and benchmarks to measure company performance.
- Collaborate across departments to solve business challenges and enhance processes.
- Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and consultants.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
- Experience in consolidated reporting and business/systems integrations (a plus, but not required).
- Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, graphs).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their impact on financial transactions and reporting.
- Ability to analyze and interpret both financial and non-financial data.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
