    Your Role & Impact

    As the Controller, you'll lead financial operations, reporting directly to the Vice President. Key responsibilities include:

    • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial records, and compliance for ongoing and upcoming projects.
    • Job Costing: Ensure precise allocations and accurate tracking of project finances.
    • Reporting: Deliver detailed monthly financial reports, including WHIP reviews and cash flow analysis.
    • Team Leadership: Oversee accounting staff, including AP/AR and purchasing.
    • Service Operations: Streamline processes for recurring costs, progress billing, and public works projects.
    • Strategic Support: Provide historical financial data and analysis to support decision-making in bid meetings and board reviews.

    What Makes You a Fit?

    We’re looking for a proven financial leader with:

    • Experience: Career progression in accounting that has resulted in a financial leadership role within the construction industry.
    • Stability: A stable job history reflecting growth and dedication.
    • Expertise: Strong background in job costing, financial reporting, and managing end-of-month processes.
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage teams of 5+ across accounting functions.
    • Detail-Oriented Approach: Accuracy and precision in managing financial details and compliance.
    • Collaboration: A proactive and strategic partner to leadership teams.
    • Systems & Software: Experience with Computer Ease accounting software, or similar.

    This is a fully in-office role 5 days a week near Redlands, CA.
