We are seeking a Controls and Automation Apprentice Technician to join our team! Benefits: • Medical • Dental • Vision • 401(k) • Life Insurance Responsibilities: • Set up and adjust control systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation machinery. • Regularly inspect and perform preventive maintenance on control systems and automation equipment to guarantee peak performance. • Troubleshoot and rectify technical problems and malfunctions in control systems and automation equipment. • Work together with engineers and colleagues to develop and execute enhancements and changes to control systems. • Record all maintenance and repair tasks, as well as any adjustments made to equipment and updates to software. • Keep informed about the most recent developments in control systems and automation technology in order to offer suggestions for enhancement. • Acquire skills in panel assembly and fault diagnosis. • Learn the installation, upkeep, and resolution of issues with control systems and automation machinery. Qualifications: • Previous experience in controls and automation or the electrical field is preferred. • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. • An associate degree in electrical or automation technology is highly desirable, but not required. • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components, circuits, and systems. • Good understanding of the interpretation of technical diagrams, blueprints, and instructional guides. • Must be willing to travel throughout the week when needed at job sites. • Exceptional troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Must be able to work individually or as part of a team. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Strong willingness to learn and retain the trade. • Must be able to adapt to the constant changes and developments of control systems and automation technology. Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly DOE
