Join our Engineering & Manufacturing Team!
Supports all PLC design aspects through the entire design and commissioning process. This function requires a degree of intra-departmental coordination, completing tasks that are critical to the success of the VP of Engineering leadership objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING, OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
• Design and implement automated systems using PLCs and other technologies
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to select input/output devices, controllers control network switches, routers, and/or gateways.
• Prepare control system schematic diagrams, network architecture diagrams, control panel general arrangement diagrams and other control system installation detail diagrams.
• Program controllers (PLC and other technologies) and process visualization (HMI).
• Generate all relevant technical documentation such as sequence of operations, I/O points lists, user manuals, etc.
• Perform on-site technical support/commissioning activities.
• Provide on-site customer training.
• Provide customers and in-house technicians with technical support via multiple methods (phone, email, text, chat/IM, etc.)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with low voltage or medium voltage power distribution equipment, generator controls, and control systems integration.
• Protective Relay understanding and programming experience (SEL, GE Multilin, etc.)
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs
• Experience with communication protocols/schemes (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet IP, etc.)
• Industrial automation experience preferred
• Ability to understand control schematics and any associated hardware
• 40% travel required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university
• Two to three years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidate must be able to pass DOD background check
• Candidate is required to have valid driver license and clean MVR
