Installation, modification, and repair of automated industrial control equipment
Strong understanding of software utilized within programmable logic control (PLC) systems
Design, plan, install and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controls, variable frequency drives, control panels and load balancing
Thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Must be available to work off shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
Work closely with the maintenance team and assist in routine planned maintenance and emergency repairs of plant equipment including conveyors, bucket elevators, and washing/drying equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLC’s and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, safety circuits
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors and equipment (120, 240 and 480V)
Knowledge of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all test equipment used to perform repairs of production equipment (Dryers, Baghouses/Dust Collectors, etc.)
Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled and document finished work
Contact vendors of replacement parts on hand for all equipment
May drive a pick-up truck or maintenance vehicle in the plant and/or to pick-up parts from local vendors

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree preferred
Four years combined schooling and industrial experience required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong machine electrical background. Hardwired controls, digital and analog I/O knowledge and the ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID’s
Proven PLC Programming experience - Allen Bradley RSLogix and Studio 5000 a must, with networking (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.) experience desired. PLC background requires writing, debugging, developing, and troubleshooting PLC’s.
Proven HMI Programming experience – Wonderware InTouch and Historian a must, with System Platform experience desired. HMI background requires developing, debugging and troubleshooting HMI’s
Computer skills - Windows and server environment, load and configure various software on servers and PC’s
Must be able to work in adverse working conditions such as heat, wet, cold, noise, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
Ability to read prints including mechanical and electrical schematics
Possess excellent analytical skills, data interpretation
Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout, MSHA, NFPA 70E, and proper use of PPE
