Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Control Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the performance of our manufacturing processes. You will design, implement, and maintain complex control systems and software, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety by adhering to OSHA regulations and identifying potential hazards.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, install, and commission new equipment and control systems.
- Continuously assess and optimize process performance through control system modifications and troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor control technicians and other team members to enhance their technical skills.
- Collect and analyze machine data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize production processes.
- Proactively identify and implement new technologies and processes to drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of industrial controls experience in continuous process manufacturing.
- Expertise in Siemens PCS7 and Step 7.
- Strong understanding of PLC, DCS, QCS, VFDs, instrumentation, and HMI hardware/software.
- Proficiency in industrial control networks (OT networks).
- Excellent data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with paper machines (preferred).
