    Controls Technician - Building Automation - Base Salary to 80k/year - Cleveland, OH

    • Our client is a national leader in energy services and building automation, serving Northeast Ohio for the last 20 years. The company utilizes performance-based contracting to find operational savings hiding in their customers’ building systems and use those savings to pay for significant infrastructure upgrades. These upgrades consist of boiler, lighting, electrical upgrades, water conservation, and installation of new building automation systems.
    • The Controls Technician will be part of the Performance Assurance Specialist Team, which is the final step in the installation process. The Controls Technician is responsible for validating that all systems are operating according to the company's rigorous Sequences of Operation. In addition, the Controls Technician will also review the mechanical & electrical systems, metering, and building envelope.

    Responsibilities:

    • Check mechanical and controls equipment and verify it meets client standards
    • Verify software is working in sync with controls system
    • Performs onsite validation of projects and service contracts
    • Communicating with customers regularly to review building and service needs
    • Review the controls submittals to ensure the systems designed will meet the project requirements
    • Troubleshoot as needed using thermal scanners, air-balancing tools, meters, etc
    • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Integration, and Service departments

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree or technical HVAC certification
    • 5+ years building automation, building controls or HVAC industry
    • Tridium Certification is a plus
    • Robust background in mechanical systems
    • Knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics, and ability to understand sequences of operations
    • Ability to read project drawings, blueprints, and specifications
    • Some knowledge of third-party integration concepts with experience in BACnet and Modbus is preferred

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 80k/year plus comprehensive benefits package, company vehicle, and gas card.
