Education and/or Experience: The ability to read, write, speak clearly and followwritten and oral instructions. Must be willing and able to make decisions whenresponsible for the facility.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete and be current in alltraining requirements for training under ALF regulations with AHCA.
Other skills and Abilities: Must be aware and understand the needs of the elderly.Must be able to accommodate and understand diets, diet orders, quantities, specialrequests, how to follow recipes, and above all put some love into the cooking that isdone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job position requires moderate physical demands. Duties mayinclude frequent walking, stooping/kneeling/bending, lifting/carrying, and pushing/pullingduring work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including the following but may includeother duties assigned by the supervisor.
Cook meals according to menus.
Meet all food nutrition guidelines when preparing foods.
Cook foods to proper temperatures.
Hold foods at proper temperatures.
Cleanliness of the kitchen is your responsibility.
When using the dishwasher, make sure the ppm is between 50-100
Have a thorough knowledge of the food code.
Recording of food temperatures
Recording of Refrigerators’ and freezer temperature
Keeping the floor swept, mopped, and sanitized.
Meeting any special requests that the residents and we can accommodate.
Answer phones as needed.
