Slice House by Tony Gemignani is seeking skilled and dedicated Cooks/BOH Team Members to join our culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals following company recipes and standards while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Meal Preparation
- Prepare and cook dishes according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures and meets quality standards.
2. Kitchen Operations
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
3. Compliance
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Team Collaboration
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating needs and feedback to colleagues and supervisors.
- Assist with special events, catering, and menu planning as needed.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in training sessions to enhance cooking skills and stay updated on kitchen trends.
- Suggest improvements to recipes or operations to optimize efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in food safety and handling (preferred).
