As the Food Service Manager/Cook at The Primrose School at Naperville Crossings, you’ll prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they explore, play and develop a lifelong love of learning. Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products or food items that have been processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
Prepares all meals in accordance with posted menus and nutrition regulations. Distributes meals to all classrooms.
Removes dishes and leftovers from classrooms and disposes accordingly including washing dishes.
Keeps kitchen, including dishes, appliances, counters and all inventory, organized and clean.
Maintains food handler's certification as required by state.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Must have previous kitchen experience.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
