PLATER HELPER (TRAINEE) 3RD SHIFT.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Plater Helper position is responsible for processing parts on lines by prepping and racking the parts from start to finish. This position plays a key role in the smooth performance and workings of the 3rd Shift.
The Plater Helper is also responsible for reviewing the quality of plated parts, raising awareness to the Plater and the Quality Team if questionable hardware is identified. This individual must handle hardware properly while packing/unpacking containers and must keep consistent pace while racking and unracking parts.
All members of the Co-operative Plating team are expected to work effectively with each other as well as customers and vendors. Behaviors such as maintaining a positive attitude and courteous demeanor to create a respectful, professional work environment are essential.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts/material handling equipment, heat, and vibration. There may be occasions when it’s necessary to work on powered equipment without the benefit of lock out/tag out. Otherwise, lock out/tag out procedures must be followed. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Appropriate personal safety gear is provided and should be worn at all times.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS:
This is a full-time Plater Helper position and requires membership in the IAM union after 60-days of continuance employment, district lodge 77. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 10:00pm-6:00am.
STARTING HOURLY WAGE: $18.00 on 1st Shift and Shift Differential Pay on the 2nd and 3rd Shift.
