    Job Description

    As the Coordinator, Social Media Strategy & Insights, you will provide crucial business insights to drive key decisions and strategies to grow NBC Sports’ social business. You should have both a keen eye for what makes good social content and understands the data and insights that inform smart business decisions.

    This full-time position sits on the NBC Sports marketing team and reports to the Director, Social Media Strategy & Insights.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and report on data and performance for the NBC Sports owned social portfolio and deliver reports and insights to help shape and drive content strategy
    • Observe and evaluate user behavior and content performance on a variety of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.) to further specialize and tailor content for our audience
    • Evaluate and report on trends and performance from talent, partner leagues/teams/athletes and competitors
    • Engage in social listening projects and deliver insights on audience conversation and sentiment
    • Coordinate with members of the Marketing Strategy team to share insights and help inform and learn from season-long and tentpole event strategies
    • Gather data for and report on NBC Sports branded content efforts
    • Other duties as assigned by Director, Social Media Strategy & Insights and Vice President, Social Media
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum one (1+) year of relevant work experience or related internships
    • Experience in social data or listening platforms (Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Comscore, Meltwater or other related applications)

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Proficiency in social data or listening platforms
    • Ability to derive key insights from data and distill them into actionable insights and strategies
    • Vast knowledge of sports and internet culture

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
