Instrument & Electrical Specialist -- Full-Time
Job Description
Located in our EDEN PRAIRIE, MN facility, you will analyze and resolve issues with circuit boards down to the individual components and provide assistance with production test fixtures.
Job Responsibilities
Resolve circuit board issues down to the individual components.
Assist with production test fixtures and support operators.
Review test procedures and examine products.
Identify circuit board defects using a microscope.
Utilize oscilloscopes, DMM, and basic test equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment by performing daily organization and cleanup tasks.
Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
Suggest modifications and participate in the evaluation of manufacturing procedures.
Adhere to safety guidelines and promptly report any unsafe conditions to your team-lead or supervisor.
Complete assigned tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree in Electronics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
0-2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, specifically troubleshooting circuit boards.
Proficiency in troubleshooting printed circuit boards down to the component level.
Ability to interpret and understand schematics.
Knowledge of electronic components and their characteristics.
Basic mechanical skills.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong multitasking abilities.
Willingness to receive training in other areas.
Results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in reading and comprehending basic work instructions and specifications.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of personal computers.
Experience working with software.
Prior experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with polarity, orientation, and IPC 610 standards.
Experience utilizing electronic test fixtures.
Physical Requirements
While fulfilling job duties, the employee will frequently be required to sit and reach with their hands and arms.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Frequent use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Specific visual abilities necessary for the role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Occasional walking while carrying trays, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and speaking or hearing may be required.
