CopilotIQ is a start-up that is transforming care for seniors with chronic conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure. The Copilot vision is to create a next-gen telehealth platform with connected in-home devices, predictive artificial intelligence, and world-class care. Much like a pilot has a computer and person sitting next to them to ensure they stay safe, we believe every patient deserves to have someone watching over them and ensuring they are healthy.  Join our team at CopilotIQ to help transform the way healthcare is provided to patients with chronic conditions.  Remote Patient Monitoring is the next generation, giving our patients the ability to interact with their care team from the comfort and safety of their homes.

We are seeking nurses (LPN & RN) to provide outstanding care for patients with diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, CHF, and COPD through remote patient monitoring. The new patient intake nurse will be the face of our nursing staff. This employee will be responsible for providing a pleasant and informative first impression while gathering pertinent medical information from each new patient. This position offers full-time hours and benefits, flexibility and the ability to work from home.

THE NURSE FILLING THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Performing new patient intakes in a caring and professional manner
    • Having an accurate understanding of our company background and the services we provide as well as being able to confidently answer patient questions.
    • Collecting pertinent demographic and medical information and inputting this information into our EHR.
    • Has a clear understanding of HIPAA compliance and practices this at all times.
    • Ensures the order for devices specific to patient need was placed by a provider assigned to that patient
    • Scheduling and assigning patients to their telehealth nurse as well as providing contact information.
    • Working closely with sales members, providers and nurses on our team and maintaining a respectful working relationship and clear communication of patient needs.
    • Be available to take calls during working hours (with exception of scheduled lunch break)
    • New patient nurses are expected to work the same hours as our providers.
    • Assist other NPNs when necessary.
    • Promote a culture of kindness, professionalism, and teamwork.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN OUR NURSES:

    • Personable:  Communication with our patients is strictly virtual which requires a special skill set from our nurses, especially the new intake nurses. Each nurse on our team is expected to be friendly and courteous to each patient, confident, knowledgeable in the services we provide at CopilotIQ, and have the ability to interact with patients from all backgrounds.
    • Empathy:  We must be able to feel compassion and provide comfort. Sometimes, an encounter with their nurse is all patients have to look forward to.
    • Flexibility: Our nurses must be flexible with regards to hours and responsibilities.
    • Attention to Detail:  As a nurse at CopilotIQ, we pay excellent attention to detail and are careful to provide the best care possible.
    • Interpersonal skills:  Nurses are the primary interface with patients. As a nurse at CopilotIQ we strive to have excellent interpersonal skills and work well in a variety of situations with different people. We attempt to work well with the other nurses, doctors, and other members of the staff.
    • Respect Others:  Our nurses at CopilotIQ respect each other and our patients. We strive to remain impartial at all times and are mindful of confidentiality requirements and different cultures and traditions.
    • Perseverance: There are times in the field when our teams face rejection, concerns regarding patient compliance, satisfaction, and participation. We are here to support our patients, be kind to everyone, and never give up on those relying on our team.
    • Computer Skills:  Remote patient monitoring requires a strong grasp on computer skills, technology-based processes, and the ability to learn quickly and efficiently. Precision in documentation and the use of EHR is very important in this field.
    • High Level of Integrity:  As a nurse we are given extremely confidential information whether it be patient information, insurance information, or patient history shared in confidence. Our nurses are expected to hold this in the highest confidence.
