    Job Description

    The Data Administrator role is dedicated to maintaining and improving the Kinaxis Rapid Response data environment for Cornerstone Building Brands Apertures division. This role will focus on the security and integrity of key data elements of the system, and the subsequent scenario publishing of core collaboration segments for the Rapid Response environment. This role will be a stakeholder in support of the broader adoption and usability of the Rapid Response system, and will be a trusted expert within the system by obtaining Author Level 1 certification as a requirement of accepting the role.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Database Management * Monitor database performance : Conduct regular performance tuning and optimize queries for maximum efficiency * Install, configure, and upgrade database software : Ensure databases are up-to-date. Core scenario dataset maintenance and governance * Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies : Ensure data reliability and minimize downtime * Perform routine maintenance tasks : This includes database backups, index rebuilding, and statistics gathering
    • System Configuration: * Monitor hardware and software performance : Ensure smooth operation * Preserve data integrity : Regularly validate and maintain data accuracy
    • Collaboration and Documentation: * Collaborate with stakeholders : Work with developers, system administrators, and other teams * Document database structures and procedures : Maintain clear records. Develop processes and procedures to create, maintain, and update data within RapidResponse inclusive of cross-functional workflow​
    • Foundational Rapid Response Requirements : * Act as SME for Kinaxis RapidResponse system in support of S&OP and S&OE teams * Update and maintain integrity of baseline enterprise data scenario within the Kinaxis RapidResponse system * Create and maintain dashboards, workbooks, worksheets, task flows, forms, scorecards * Manage premier support requests to Kinaxis

    ** ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

    • ​Assist with initial configuration of Kinaxis RapidResponse system to support Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Constraint Management, Master Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, etc.
    • Support initial configuration of system BOMs​ (Planning and Feature)
    • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering to maintain Planning BOMs​ and Feature BOMs
    • Routine updates of planning characteristics by product series​
    • Routine updates of disaggregation percentages across planning BOMs​
    • Routine updates of planning characteristics by product series​
    • Routine updates of quantities within Feature BOMs to align with configured BOMs​
    • Develop, maintain, and execute weekly audit plan to ensure system data accuracy​
    • Develop and manage routines (daily/weekly/monthly) for maintaining data security and integrity within the Kinaxis RapidResponse system
    • Documentation of database structures and procedures for clear records
    • Assume Authorship role within RapidResponse​
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required, Master’s degree preferred

    • Minimum of five (5) years previous work experience in a Data Engineering, IT support, or Systems Administration role

    • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) year’s experience working for a manufacturing business

    • Must have previous experience deploying new software systems

    • Proficiency in SQL

    • IT Governance experience

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000.00 to $128,000.00 + 5% Annual Bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
