Job Description
The Shared Services Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing and executing accounting activities and financial controls within the Accounting Shared Services group. This position evaluates the inclusion of additional processes in the Accounting Shared Services function, including the integration of certain processes from acquired companies. The Shared Services Accounting Manager ensures shared services processes are centrally managed in an efficient and accurate manner to aid in management decision making. These responsibilities require strong alignment and communication with the divisional accounting teams and other departments.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the warranty valuation and accrual process
- Review capital expenditures closures and fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ensure leases are identified and accounted for correctly through coordination with supply chain, operations, and divisional accounting and finance teams
- Own Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance within the Accounting Shared Services group by ensuring processes and controls are adequately documented, maintained, and applied
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit requirements of internal and external audits
- Interact with all levels of employees, from clerical to senior management, and establish productive relationships with our internal customers
- Work independently and provide appropriate coaching and direction to other team members
- Resolve challenging issues appropriately and communicate in a timely, clear, and concise manner
