WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
The Sr. NET Application Engineer is an integral member of the Development Team, providing Application Development in line with technical strategy set by the IT Leadership Team. The role is critical in the expansion of the ever-growing CHL application portfolio and will perform various functions including:
- Designing the implementation of and development of strategies such as micro-services, API REST services, event-driven architecture, domain driven, CQRS.
- Performing code modifications to applications under maintenance that include older technologies.
- Eliminate legacy application by either lift and shifting items, re-platforming functionality or completely new applications.
- Creating unit/interaction/integration tests to ensure quality of solutions following the TDD/BDD patterns.
- Leverage swagger and documentation tools to convey just-in-time documentation.
- Contributing to the constant refinement of the App Dev Team procedures and processes.
- Mentoring Jr. Team Members on the team.
- Breaking down asks with high-level implementation design, stories to implement and lead design sessions with the rest of the team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years in software development
- 5+ years in C# development and .NET Technologies (.NET Framework and .NET Core)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
- Experience in Azure DevOps with Git version control leveraging the GitFlow model
- Experience in ASP.Net Webforms, Angular MVC, and Node.js, React
- Experience in using Visual Studio
- Knowledge of architectural patterns
- Experience developing solutions in fast paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- Experience using Entity Framework, SQL Server, Transact-SQL, NoSQL database (Azure Cosmos DB or other), MongoDB API
- SOAP (XML) and REST (JSON) webservice technologies
- Good knowledge of Microservice Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Event-driven Architecture and Domain Driven Design
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence or other Agile tools
- BS in computer science
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Microsoft Azure API Management, Function Apps, Event Grid Domains, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage Accounts
- Experience with Safe practices
- Mortgage or Financial Industry experience and knowledge
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery expertise
