Water Process Intern (Summer 2023)
Job Description
Our team manages 50 drinking water projects in 20 states. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to support a few of the projects through laboratory testing and data acquisition and analysis.
Laboratory work primarily evaluates the corrosivity of a new source water on lead and copper coupons under different conditions, such as the presence of a corrosion inhibitor and blending different water sources. This work would include 1) basic laboratory testing (water quality measurements, sample preparation, and water changeouts) using standard operations procedures and methods 2) Routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment and analytical instruments and 3) Data management, analysis, and reporting, which will allow you to gain an understanding of how the data generated is translated to develop real world solutions.
Lead and copper coupon testing requires WORK IN OUR LABORATORY LOCATED IN LOUISVILLE, CO FOR A MINIMUM 5-HOUR BLOCK OF TIME AT LEAST TWICE PER WEEK DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS (8AM-5PM). A remote class can be accommodated during this time block.
