    Job Description

    Serves as a liaison between Information Technology and Business Partners to identify and address business needs, resolve complex system problems, and work with business stakeholders to identify business intelligence needs. Partners with IT Project Leaders in the assessment, development, deployment, and support of new and existing applications. Partners with IT Leaders to perform data analysis, design, implement, develop and maintain BI reports & dashboards utilizing Power BI platform. Documents functional specifications in detail and provides direction to technical staff in development and testing. Possesses and maintains an up-to-date understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Demonstrates excellent planning and communication skills throughout interaction with all levels of the organization. Provide support for user problem resolution.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    • Demonstrate the ability to perform data analysis, design, implement, develop and maintain BI reports & dashboards utilizing Power BI platform.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, data transformation, data validation, and imputing data.
    • Turn large amounts of raw data into actionable information for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
    • Track and monitor data quality issues such as missing values, outliers, duplicates, errors, or inconsistencies and propose appropriate mitigations to resolve or minimize issues, such as cleaning, transforming, validating, or imputing the data.
    • Design data architecture structures necessary to support HR and Finance BI initiatives to ensure collected data used for analysis meets required quality standards.
    • Collaborate with Business Partners to analyze business processes, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve errors or problems with existing programs, applications, or reports and propose technology solutions or new business processes or program changes to address specific requirements consistent with division and corporate standards and best practices and comply with the global Enviri compliance standards and procedures, including coordination of application security reviews.
    • Support business users by answering complex business questions, transforming metadata into meaningful insights, applying visualizations to display patterns, trends, or outliers, and utilizing ad-hoc queries.
    • Demonstrate specific functional skills in the area of the application and additional experience in related information systems, general database development and administration.
    • Demonstrate a strong appreciation of related IT software and infrastructure services and a personal proactive approach to maintaining skills to a current level.
    • Prepare and update documentation, assist in developing and maintaining system documentation to ensure all specifications and related activities
    • Collaborates with the development team for configuration of business applications, testing, and deployments.
    • Develop supporting flowcharts, tables, diagrams, formulas, prototypes, and methods for solving business problems, incorporating infrastructure requirements and interfaces.
    • Provide training to the users, when appropriate.
    • Provide technical expertise to the users in solving application or reporting issues.
    • Assists in the creation of detailed project plans and project work assignments. Maintain project plans and coordinate with team members to ensure target dates are achieved.
    • Manages multiple priorities successfully and complete multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
    • Research alternative business solutions and, where appropriate, document cost, recommend, present, and justify such alternatives.
    • Ability to evaluate multiple perspectives, collect evidence, ask questions, and use critical thinking skills to derive a conclusion and effectively communicate the conclusion.
    • Evaluate, manage, and resolve requests in the ticketing system
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education

    Bachelor’s Degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience.

    Experience

    • Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a HR business analyst role or a minimum of three years’ experience in a HR functional role.
    • Must have two years of professional experience with dashboards and data visualization using Power BI
    • ERP (HR) system experience.
    • Continuous improvement experience.
    • Demonstrated Change Management experience

    • Proficient in Excel (Intermediate or Advanced level) proven ability to organize, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data
    • The ability to evaluate multiple perspectives, ask questions, and apply critical thinking
    • Solid planning, time management, and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and complete multiple projects and tasks concurrently under tight deadlines without compromising quality or efficiency.
    • Demonstrate the ability to translate and document concepts into definitive requirements
    • Strong interpersonal skills are essential and an ability to communicate effectively with IT and Business Partners in problem resolution and training.
    • Ability to write in a clear concise manner and effectively present information and respond to questions.
    • Ability to be a strong independent contributor and an effective team member

    Technical Skills

    • ERP HR and Finance system experience (Oracle preferred).
    • Participation implementing a HR system or module
    • Experience with report writing and data visualization strategies used to illustrate information and tell a story through dashboards.
    • Experience in providing solutions using Power BI data modeling,
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data.
    • Computer software skills and the ability to use multiple devices and software to communicate, create, and access information
