    Job Summary: Sun Holdings is one of the top franchise organizations in the U.S. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Corporate Compliance and Contracts Attorney to support our Legal department in managing business needs and internal policies. Our ideal candidate for this position has at least five to seven years of experience working in a law office or company and is familiar with governmental applications, company formation and maintenance, state forms, and reporting. Any corporate compliance, employment, franchise, mergers and acquisitions, or transactional law experience is a plus. Looking for someone with the confidence to jump in and figure out new assignments. Tax experience may be useful.

    Responsibilities:

    Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and oversee corporate compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

    Legal Guidance: Provide legal advice and support on compliance-related matters, and contracts, including regulatory requirements, risk management, and internal policies.

    Training and Education: Design and deliver training programs for employees on compliance issues, ethics, and legal obligations.

    Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular audits and reviews of company operations to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.

    Investigation and Reporting: Investigate compliance breaches or violations, prepare detailed reports, and liaise with regulatory agencies as needed.

    Policy Development: Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and compliant with legal requirements.

    Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure compliance integration into business practices and support the development of new initiatives.

    Requirements:

    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

    Admission to the Bar. Must be in good standing.

    Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a compliance attorney or in a similar role, preferably within a corporate setting.

    Strong understanding of corporate compliance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.

    Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

    Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Experience as a practicing, licensed attorney, in good standing for five to seven years. (Required).

    Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Dallas, TX before starting work is required.
