    We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Corporate Compliance and Franchise Attorney to support our Legal department in managing business needs and ensuring adherence to internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate legal matters, corporate restructuring, and franchising particularly within the restaurant industry. Experience with governmental applications, company formation and maintenance, state filings, and compliance reporting is essential. Additional expertise in corporate compliance, employment law, franchising, alternative dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, or transactional law is highly valued. We seek someone confident and resourceful, ready to take initiative and tackle new assignments. Tax knowledge would be a plus.

    This position is onsite Monday through Friday at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, where our culture is engaging and collaborative. Requires the ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Dallas, TX before starting work.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Develop and manage corporate compliance programs to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations

    Provide legal counsel and support on compliance-related matters, including regulatory requirements, contract management, document oversight, and internal policies

    Create and deliver employee training programs focused on compliance, ethics, and legal responsibilities

    Conduct routine audits and operational reviews to identify potential compliance risks and recommend effective corrective actions.

    Investigate compliance issues and violations, prepare thorough reports, and coordinate with regulatory agencies when necessary.

    Draft, review, and maintain company policies and procedures, ensuring they stay up to date and aligned with legal standards

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance practices into business operations and support new initiatives

    Perform other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

    Active Bar admission in good standing; Texas Bar admission is a plus

    5–7 years of experience as a practicing, licensed attorney with a strong background in compliance and/or franchise law, preferably within a corporate environment

    Strong knowledge of corporate compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, corporate structuring, and contract negotiation

    Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity

    Experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a plus

    Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
