Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our financial operations and drive strategic financial decision-making. This role will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance while optimizing cost controls specific to manufacturing and energy-efficient technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial manufacturing, cost accounting, and financial leadership, with experience in ERP systems and multi-site financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Lead annual audits and collaborate with external auditors.
- Maintain financial transparency and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
Accounting & Internal Controls:
- Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Implement best practices in financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare bi-annual balance sheet reviews.
- Drive ERP implementation, configuration and maintenance
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership in operations, sales, and engineering.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA highly preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Expertise in public accounting
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or energy technology industries required.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience managing multi-site financial operations preferred.
