  • Responsibilities

    Integrate the department's services with the consolidated organization primary functions.

    Coordinate and integrate services within the department with other departments in the organization.

    Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.

    Maintain, monitor and distribute productivity reports.

    Continuously improves department performance.

    Provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department.

    Recommend space and other resources needed by the department.

    Participate in selecting outside sources for needed services.

    Directs the general accounting functions of the corporation.

    Prepares the Hospital & Medical Group Capital and Operation Budgets.

    Compiles the financial and statistical information required for the Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.

    Establishes and maintains financial objectives and policies.

    Develops/analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

    Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all required reports.

    Makes recommendations based on financial analysis of operations.

    Maintains fixed asset systems.

    Maintains the accounts and keep books and records on all company transaction and assets.

    Assists with directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.

    Institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures and analyzes report variances.

    Additional Responsibilities: Assisting departments with forecasting personnel, financial need, accelerating cash receipts and controlling disbursements, overseeing bank balances, maintaining lines of credit and banking relationships.

    Evaluates and implements computerized accounting systems.

    Required Skills

    Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.

    Required Experience

    Minimum Work Experience: Five to seven experience in a Hospital. Three to five years experience with management and/or supervisory skills. A top-level manager is preferred, but a promotable candidate may be considered.
