  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Work closely with Sales Finance, Operations Finance, and Corporate FP&A on consolidated monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
    • Prepare monthly close and journal entries based on GL reviews; monthly department-level financials with variance analysis and explanations, department-level forecasting and budgeting, and assessment of key business metrics and drivers
    • Utilize Oracle financial systems as well as other platforms such as Microsoft Power BI to develop, test, and implement value-added reporting tools and system enhancements
    • Efficiently compile, organize, and analyze complex financial information and raw data; interpret data to explain past financial performance and project future results
    • Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance/Accounting group about the financial performance of their respective area
    • Focus on key performance indicators and ongoing process improvement opportunities
    • Independently manage other responsibilities, including ad-hoc analytical and strategic projects, and any other tasks as required
    • Collaborate with Marketing and G&A budget owners to ensure good financial decision-making, and to understand drivers and trends impacting their budgets
    • Take large quantities of financial data and analytic results and condense them into a coherent story with clear, easy-to-understand conclusions and implications
    • Support Corporate FP&A Manager with development and tracking of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual task deliverable timelines for our entire FP&A team
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2-4 years of relevant experience in FP&A or related field; experience in CPG/beverage or Wine industry is a plus
    • Robust and meticulous analytics and strategic thinking capability, with a keen eye for continuous improvement in processes and deliverables
    • Adjusts to new situations and dynamic environments quickly; is comfortable with changing priorities and able to manage self effectively amidst change; is resilient and learns from challenging situations
    • Builds trust through truth, integrity, transparency, and accountability; collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills to partner successfully with cross-functional teams
    • Self-starter with ability to work independently, high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required; knowledge of Oracle, and/or Microsoft Power BI is a plus
    • Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
    • Availability to travel between our Paso and Los Angeles offices, and to our wine businesses across California (up to 10%)

    Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
