The Corporate General Liability Claims Specialist oversees the claims process when a client files a claim. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and skilled in reporting and processing claims, conducting policy research, gathering evidence, verifying coverage, and assisting in determining settlements or compensation.

This role is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, with an engaging, collaborative environment, requiring on-site attendance from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
Meet specific client requirements, including reporting claim details and conducting detailed analysis.
Gather necessary documentation from clients, such as police reports, estimates, and loss records.
Identify and apply jurisdictional factors that may affect claims (e.g., negligence laws, financial limits, immunity).
Investigate facts to establish negligence, determine liability, and identify other recovery sources by interviewing relevant parties.
Manage specialized claims, such as fire and theft, in line with local laws, sometimes engaging external experts.
Handle calls and emails regarding insurance claims of varying complexity and severity.
Conduct research and data entry using designated claims systems.
Serve as a liaison to other business units to assist with customer-related requests.
Perform assigned tasks, projects, and training.
Update claimants and colleagues on claim statuses through phone and written correspondence.
Seek guidance from senior claims personnel to ensure proper file handling.
Calculate settlement amounts by applying independent judgment and considering applicable limits and deductibles.
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience handling general liability claims.
High school diploma.
Knowledge of insurance policies and related legislation.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong analytical math skills.
Excellent conflict resolution, listening, and professional communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills for evaluating claims and making sound decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling workers' compensation, property, or auto claims.
Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal).
Familiarity with the Food and Beverage Industry.
Insurance licenses or designations as needed for the role.
