    Our client, a prominent top rated law firm in New York and New Jersey is looking to grow their Healthcare Division. They are seeking a Healthcare Attorney/Counsel/Partner across many verticals including transactional, regulatory, and litigation.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic advice on healthcare regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse concerns, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, ERKA, corporate practice of the profession, and fee-splitting laws.
    • Healthcare mergers and acquisitions, managing joint ventures, partnerships, employment arrangements, management agreements, lease agreements, and other related transactions.
    • Negotiate and draft broad range of corporate and transactional documents, including operating agreements, management agreements, employment/independent contractor agreements, purchase agreements, leases, and billing services agreements. This spans diverse sectors, including medical, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary, and hospitals.
    • Identify and analyze federal and state regulatory schemes and spot issues related to proposed business models presented by clients.
    • Represent clients in audits and inquiries from Medicare and insurance carriers.
    • Structure deals that meet client objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory schemes.
    • Work closely with the firm’s CEO and Corporate Department Chairs to enhance support for corporate/business lawyers on healthcare-related transactions.
    • Handle healthcare litigation proceedings.
    • Draft pleadings, conduct discovery and responses, motions, briefs, etc., and represent clients in court and arbitration.
    • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under relevant laws and regulations.
    • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
    • Identify legal and compliance issues and business risks and offer effective solutions tailored to the situations.
    • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of general commercial and healthcare law (such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, state regulations, etc.), Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance issues; or managed care and health insurance regulatory matters, plus pharmacy-related experience.

    Requirements

    J.D. from Accredited college

    4-7 Years of experience

    Must be barred in NJ and preferred in NY

    $150,000-$250,000 per year
