    In Personal Injury law, we offer skilled advocacy for individuals in Syracuse and Central New York, handling cases involving medical malpractice (including nursing home injuries), workplace accidents, motor vehicle accidents (car, truck, pedestrian, and motorcycle accidents), defective products, and slip-and-fall incidents.

    Our Employment Law practice represents both individuals and groups in a wide range of cases under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York Labor Law. We focus on employment discrimination, including race, national origin, age, gender, disability, and sexual orientation claims, as well as wage and hour disputes, overtime claims, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, and severance agreements.

    The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys with various corporate legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and supporting transactional work related to class action suits and employment law cases. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to expand their expertise in corporate law within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

    Responsibilities

    • ****Assist in maintaining corporate records, including corporate charters, bylaws, and minutes of meetings.

    • Prepare, review, and file corporate documents such as shareholder agreements, resolutions, and board meeting minutes.

    • Provide support in mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring matters, including conducting due diligence, preparing transaction documents, and assisting with closing preparations.

    • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements, with particular focus on those related to class action suits, employment law, and general corporate matters.

    • Conduct legal research on a variety of corporate issues, including corporate governance, compliance regulations, and issues related to class action suits and employment disputes.

    • Assist in preparing and organizing documents for discovery, litigation, or settlement in employment and class action cases.

    • Help manage internal workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance with legal requirements. ****

    Requirements

    • ** ******Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. A certificate in paralegal studies is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably with exposure to corporate law, class action suits, employment law, or related fields.
    • Experience with corporate governance, regulatory filings, and contract management is a must.
    • Proficient in legal research, drafting contracts, and document preparation.
    • Paralegal certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NALA or NALS) is preferred.
