You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities: • Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share • Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads • Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget • Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred • Good organization and time management skills • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
