OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for selling rooms and event space from designated controlled market segments to meet or exceed budgeted financial targets. The primary concentration in this role will be our group, local and regional corporate accounts. On rare occasion, may be expected to work a weekend day or holiday. Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct weekly sales calls to existing Group Corporate and Local Corporate accounts as well as uncover new business. • Travel to conduct outside calls and promote the hotel. • Set up sales appointments, site tours, and entertain clients. • Generate leads through internet searches, phone solicitation, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, professional and community organizations, sales blitzes, etc. • Develop marketing strategies by analyzing historical/current/future market trends, and selling strategies. • Understand and follow your competitors and be aware of their changes in marketing approach. • Partner with operations team to customize specific services and respond to customer issues to ensure satisfaction. • Negotiate contracts and implementation of services. • Maintain accurate sales records, database, and reports through Delphi FDC. • Handle account details so pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented. • Participate in hotel meetings. • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. • Strong negotiation skills. • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. • Detail oriented as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency. • Ability to work as part of a team. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • College degree or high school diploma with relevant experience is required. • At least 2-3 years of customer service experience is required. • At least 2-3 years’ experience in business development, account management, or sales within the travel and hospitality industry is preferred. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. • Knowledge of Delphi FDC, or other sales programs is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. • Ability to travel and valid driver’s license are required. Compensation: Starting at $55,000 - $65,000 + Quarterly Incentive
