    SUMMARY

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES Include but are not limited to the following:

    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
    • Manage all activity related to the leisure sales segment, ensuring all service standards are followed.
    • Manage all corporate sales initiatives for the hotel.
    • Provide guidance and direction in the development of segment action plans.
    • Be responsible for account management of key market segments.
    • Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
    • Monitor performance against sales targets. Address shortfalls and take action to rectify on a monthly basis.
    • Complete update of account activity and other reports as necessary to improve management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
    • Assist in the preparation of the month-end sales report for submission to the Director of Sales & Marketing in timely manner.
    • Review sales contracts, considering the number of rooms, average rate and total revenue objectives of the hotel
    • Participate in select sales activities both on and off property including but not limited to participating in road shows, agency and call center training for all market to build top of mind awareness for the Fairmont Breakers.
    • Develop Corporate account strategies for key accounts as well as local corporate accounts.
    • Ensure the integrity of key accounts, the key prospect data base and monitoring of the sales software programs for accuracy and thoroughness.
    • Work with the DOSM to prepare an annual budget for approval and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible manner.
    • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs.
    • Follow departmental policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Minimum of 3+ years experience for a luxury hotel brand preferably located in Los Angeles County or Orange County
    • Proven ability to build relationships and find new business: prospecting, networking, site inspections and sales calls
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required (Opera Cloud, Microsoft Office)
    • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • Ability to follow instruction, provide support to the sales team and work independently without supervision.
