Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Cost Estimator to join their team.As a Cost Estimator with a leading global consultancy focusing on Life Sciences and Manufacturing, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial success of iconic capital projects. You'll advise clients on costs, manage procurement processes, and deliver cost-effective solutions across all project stages.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client interactions, providing strategic, tactical, and technical cost advice.
- Collaborate with clients, external consultants, and internal teams throughout projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and generate procurement reports.
- Develop Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) for project budgets.
- Oversee day-to-day cost management for medium-large scale projects, including procurement, cost reporting, and change management.
- Implement value management techniques at project inception.
- Manage all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring efficient prequalification, selection, and contract preparation.
- Conduct post-contract cost variance analysis and oversee change control, cost checking, and valuation processes.
- Prepare and present monthly cost reports to clients.
- Perform value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Update benchmarking data with new projects to provide accurate cost information to clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant Degree (Master's or MBA preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading cost management for capital programs.
- Experience with large, complex, and multi-phase projects in Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Technology.
- Knowledge of various project delivery methods, including alternative approaches like Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).
