    Our client is a stable and privately held Manufacturing company.  They are located in Compton near Lynwood/Gardena in a "state of the art" corporate office next to manufacturing facility. Safety is at the highest priority and a non issue for their employees.

    Responsibilities:

    • Must have at least two years of Manufacturing industry and cost accounting experience.
    • Develop and maintain the inventory accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
    • Conduct Costing Utilities month-end process on Infor Visual Manufacturing software and reconcile with the Inventory Balance Report.
    • Conduct Burden analysis on a monthly basis to track the in and out of the RM, Labor, in to WIP and Finished Goods inventories.
    • Conduct physical inventories, monitor the cycle count program, and verify all inventory adjustments.
    • Knowledge of landed cost calculation and BOM set-up.
    • Manage the preparation of cost/inventory related JEs for month-end, QTR and YE close.
    • Manage AP, AR and PR staff and help on month-end close of the books of accounts including Bank reconciliations and preparation of the closing journal entries to generate financial statements.
    • Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to inventory.
    • Establish cost of business processes such as administration, labor and shipping.
    • Perform variance analysis, including Purchase Price to Cost variance, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances.
    • Create and maintain SOP for cost accounting and reporting.
    • Evaluate process deficiencies, formulate corrective action plans, and develop process improvements and/or procedural controls while leveraging systems and relationships with others within the organization.
    • Assist with special projects and research projects as assigned by management team.

    Qualifications:

    • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant major.
    • Minimum of 2+ years of inventory analysis, reconciliation, valuation, and adjustment.
    • A working knowledge of inventory cost flows and the related impact on financial statements highly desired.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, and tax regulations. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including ability to build and maintain excel models.
    • Experience working with high volume daily inventory transactions.
    • Direct, hands-on ERP systems experience preferably on Infor Visual software.
    • Experience in a fast paced, high growth environment a strong plus.
    • Must exhibit high integrity and good communication skills to work across all levels of the organization, including the senior leadership team.

    $80,000 per year
