Job Description
Cotti Foods, the 33rd largest franchise organization in the U.S. (Restaurant Monitor) with over 200 restaurants in 6 states is in search of a Payroll Administrator. Cotti Foods, a family-owned group of companies, which continues to grow through acquisitions and new development, is the largest franchise fast-food organization in Orange County (OCBJ) and includes the largest Taco Bell franchisee in California. The Payroll Administrator will be reporting directly to the Payroll Manager.
The Payroll Administrator’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process payroll for the restaurants assigned – time collection, audit, file preparation, data entry and file import.
- Process payroll adjustments, ACH transactions and manual checks.
- Assist in resolution of escalated payroll issues.
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy of all wage/tax information.
- Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, transfers, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, employment verification, deductions, and direct deposits.
- Generate and distribute payroll and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Respond to questions by operations and employees.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience required
- Multi-site, multi-state payroll processing experience a plus
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system preferred.
- Quick service restaurant payroll experience a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others across levels and functions while working on multiple tasks.
- Able to perform in a fast paced and flexible environment.
- High volume experience preferred.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
