    Covey is currently looking for a Community Support Specialist to run our Covey Connects program. What is Covey Connects you ask? This role is ideal for someone who loves planning activities, having fun, supporting others in learning new skills, and is passionate about inclusivity and helping others live full and meaningful lives.

    Job Overview:

    Covey Connects is designed to provide fun and social opportunities for participants. The program includes various activities – some are listed below. We need someone to plan, prepare and lead these activities!

    · cooking/baking

    · going to the YMCA

    · photography

    · going out to dinner

    · fishing

    · boardgames

    · holiday-related parties (or parties for any reason really)

    · work with a local artist to encourage and support the artistic side of our participants

    · visiting museums

    · going to live music events

    · dancing classes

    · disc golf

    · EVERY Friday afternoon Covey will be at Rev’s in Oshkosh bowling (everyone loves to bowl!)!

    · Plus whatever you can dream up!

    We need someone that can honor our VALUES in the following ways:

    · Individuality: Tailor events to participants' likes and preferences

    What do we need from you? (i.e. General Requirements)

    Patient: leading from behind to encourage and empower participants’ personal growth.

    Excellent Communicator: understands and can adapt your communication style to meet diverse needs for in-person and record keeping purposes.

    Observant: recognize and adapt plans within ever-changing environments, and continually honor each persons’ individuality by continuously assessing our participants’ needs and development.

    Age: Is at least 18 years old.

    Facilitation: Experience with group facilitation and/or instruction preferred. Experience with individuals with disabilities is not required.

    Preemployment Screenings: Must be able to pass preemployment Drug, TB, Physical and Background checks.

    Driving license: Must have valid driver's license.
