    The Coyote Valley Wyndham Garden Hotel (“Hotel”) is a beautiful, new 99-room facility with a pool, gym, and conference rooms located on the Tribe’s reservation adjacent to the Coyote Valley Casino. The facility will open in the summer of 2023. The Hotel is seeking a Cook to help us launch and operate a first class hospitality property. We pride ourselves on being one of the most innovative and forward-thinking Tribes in Northern California. We owe that to the hard-working team we have at the helm. We are in a growth stage and we want employees who will help us make our new property a success. The Cook plays a crucial role in preparing meals and maintaining the kitchen in the Hotel. You will be responsible for executing menu items, adhering to recipes and presentation standards, and ensuring food safety practices. Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and creativity contribute significantly to providing an excellent dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities: Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, adhering to approved recipes to ensure consistency.2. Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of refrigerators, ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.3. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.4. Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.5. Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.6. Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage culinary workflow.7. Participate in menu planning and food cost control.8. Must maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment.9. Able to assists with Hotel and other Tribal events including setup, cleanup, etc.10. Must maintain professional behavior with positive representation of the Tribe and Hotel while on and off the clock.11. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications1. High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma is a plus.2. Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook.3. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.4. Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.5. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.6. Ability to work in a team.7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays. Compensation: $18 - $23 Hourly
