  • Responsibilities

    In search of a Peer Recovery Specialist in Baltimore, MD who can effectively incorporate their personal journey into the treatment plans and services of our clients. The ideal candidate will champion a wellness-focused, drug-free methodology to support recovery within both our residential and outpatient programs. Responsibilities: • Utilize motivational and coaching techniques, under supervision, to assist hesitant clients in actively participating in their care, offering necessary support like reminder calls, wellness checks, and escorts • Collaborate with members of the behavioral health team to align treatment goals and tasks that aid in achieving these goals • Co-lead group sessions with behavioral health providers • Deliver coaching and education in-home or within the community on daily living activities and community inclusion, such as connecting clients to recovery networks and providing guidance on household tasks • Help clients identify and build their support networks • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system • Some roles may involve monitoring medications • Some positions may require providing transportation assistance Qualifications: • Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or Coach • Preferably have two years of case management experience • Preferably have one year of experience in a health care setting, residential, or community-based organization • Required to have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Compensation: $17- $20 hourly
