Job Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Reports directly to Vice President & Treasurer & indirectly to other members of management focusing on, 1) Strategic project & business valuation analysis; 2) preparation of management presentations; and 3) coordinating due diligence & integration acquisitions.      

JOB DUTIES:

STRATEGIC & BUSINESS VALUATION ANALYSIS

• Working under the direction of Director of FPA, prepares, with management assumption inputs, strategic project and business valuation models and analysis.   
• Supports management by preparing presentations of valuations, market studies, synergy analyses etc. for potential acquisitions and projects.
• Responds to senior management request for research of companies or industry information.  Prepare presentations of findings

DUE DILIGENCE OF POTENTIAL ACQUISITIONS

• Working under the direction of VP/Corporate Controller, coordinates due diligence process for potential acquisitions
• Organizes and maintains project plan for the due diligence process with multi-discipline team of subject matter experts
• Coordinating legal deal documents with SDI attorneys including tracking of document revisions, etc.

INTEGRATION OF ACQUISITIONS

• Organizes and maintains project plan for the integration process with multi- discipline team of subject matter experts
• Coordinates and connect the employees of the new acquisition with counter parties at SDI
• Monitors and reports on the progress of the project plan for implementation to ensure potential problems are detected and resolved timely.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Back up for other FPA team members.  Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA or MBA with concentration in accounting or finance Required
• 10 years or equivalent of relevant strategic financial experience
• Knowledge of industrial businesses a plus   
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
