Harlequin Design New York Inc. are looking for a candidate who will work closely with the Creative Manager. The individual will need to be a self starter, artistic, work well in a team environment, flexible and willing to learn. The ideal candidate would have past experience in luxury retail displays, windows and pop ups with a keen eye for detail. Below is a brief summary of the roles and responsibilities:
• Project Supervision. As part of the Creative team, oversee the finishing of projects with flexibility to
work additional hours to ensure projects are completed on time, which may include weekends when
required.
• Quality Control and Assurance. Ensure that all works completed meet the high-quality standards
set by the Company. All completed works must pass stringent Quality Control measures. Any work
deemed not satisfactory must be re-worked/re-built. Photos to be taken of all completed works are to
be uploaded on to the server. To share images of progress to the Project Manager in order so that
finishes and production is signed off by the client.
• Communication. To communicate with Creative Production Manager & Project manager. To have
direct contact with Design Project Managers to discuss project related queries when necessary whilst
keeping line managers copied in on any communications. To communicate to their line manager any
issues or concerns that will arise as early as possible. Communication to all departments involved in the
project starting with preproduction in the form of Account Managers, through to all workshop staff,
Logistics as well as Ink staff when there is a crossover of projects.
• Material. To check stock levels of creative sundries to make sure all jobs can be completed. Materials
should be ordered in good time. Access to HOST is provided so that material purchases against specific
jobs can be tracked easily.
• Completion of Work Progress Reports. Job sheets on specific jobs will carry a QC sheet. As
Creative Fabricator, all works must be signed off having been checked and QC’d. A signed copy
should be returned to the Production Manager at the end of the job. Work carried out on all
prototypes must be logged and clear instructions on exact method of production must be saved and
accessible by all members of staff.
• Job Completion & Dispatch. Shared responsibility for the finished product once it is in production.
Responsible for checking all items are complete and that everything is handed over to dispatch ready
to pack. Products should be finished well in advance of dispatch date and in the event that this is not
the case, creative staff may be required to help pack and dispatch the goods. Painted goods must
not be passed on to dispatch wet and must not be passed on to dispatch without thorough QC.
Finished goods must not be taken from dispatch unless agreed by creative staff.
