    Our client is in the heart of Chicago and is looking to add a Financial Analyst to the team! With operations both in & out of the states, this opportunity has arisen due to overall growth and they are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.     Responsibilities:

    • Supports and contributes in a variety of company-wide month-end close activities, including ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, consolidation and issue resolution
    • Collaborates and shares the ownership of financial reporting activities, including reporting to management, government and the SEC
    • Own the monthly preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows
    • Own certain technical accounting topics including, but not limited to, share-based compensation, guarantor financial statements and ad-hoc accounting topics as they arise. Research, interpret, and apply accounting guidance
    • Develop and implement accounting process change by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes. Take initiative to continually improve efficiency in accounting and reporting processes.
    • Collaborate with corporate cost center owners to ensure appropriate accruals for vendors and outside service providers, including, but not limited to, legal, IT and audit.
    • Interface with operations personnel and other cross-functional areas
    • Liaise with both internal and external auditors
