Position Overview The Christ Hospital is seeking a Credentialing Specialist for a 13-week, fully onsite contract. The role involves coordinating and preparing medical staff credentialing and privileging processes, ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credentialing within a hospital or health system.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate credentialing activities per Medical Staff Bylaws and hospital policies. Provide administrative support to medical staff committees. Process requests for temporary, additional, and one-time privileges. Verify professional licenses, board certifications, and other credentials. Assist with Joint Commission accreditation preparation. Maintain confidentiality of all medical staff information.
Qualifications Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in credentialing and privileging within a hospital or health system. Strong computer skills, including database management and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards. High school diploma or equivalent. Willingness to work fully onsite and commit to a 13-week contract. Must obtain a flu shot prior to starting.
Preferred: Experience with Cactus/Symplr software. CPCS certification.
Schedule Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:40 PM Hours: 32-40 per week
Compensation Pay Rate: $30/hour
